Lots of activity in the para-cycling time trials at Lac Megantic, QC. The individual time trials for men and women tricycle riders took place on a difficult course.
“It was challenging. The course required me to use most of my gears. The race was both physically and mentally demanding.” Shelley explains “I improved my riding technique and time over Canadian’s last year. I was able to stay focused, manage my gears and pedal harder to improve cadence for this year’s race.”
Shelley, the current World Champion in the T1 class, finished second with 93% of the Canadian Para-Cycling standard. The next step for Shelley will be World Cup Racing in Segovia Spain. Then she will go to the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in Greenville South Carolina.
